Years of building a trusting relationship has created beautiful results, in this lovingly renovated home. We have now completed three stunning bathrooms and a kitchen that exudes a sophisticated balance of warmth, colour, texture and light.

This kitchen was a ‘labour-of-love’ borne out of ideas and concepts that evolved over time. The owners were curious, trusting and extraordinary to work with.

Collaborating with the team @fluid_interiorsnz to create this kitchen was an absolute pleasure. Their expertise and advice meant the design ideas, concepts and our material selections were transformed this into high quality result.

The project began with the flooring selection and then all the tones and textures in this unique space were balanced along the way.

An important design feature that the homeowners wanted to retain is the cosy nook, tucked away at the far corner of the kitchen. This delightful spot is intimate and offers views out to the sea and Rangitoto Island. Crucially, it is a spot that the family love to gather for a quiet coffee or to chat.

Final flourishes include the fabrics for the bench seating and curtains, lighting and custom furniture. The vintage finds and treasures curated by the homeowners add personality and tell the story that is unique to them.
