We are often heard saying that ‘flooring is everything’ and this project is no exception. The existing dark tiles were removed and micro-cement was poured creating subtle movement, soft colour and the warmth created by when the sun touches it or the underfloor heating is divine to walk on.

The kitchen design is a lovely collaboration with the team @fluid_interiorsnz. The home has central wall with the kitchen on one side and shelving on the other. We conceptualised turning this into a sculptural piece of furniture by adding curves at all the corners and wrapping the entire structure with warm wood fluted cladding, hiding push-touch floor to ceiling cupboards with extensive storage.
The curves continue on the benchtops, rangehood and splashback. The marble with it’s stunning green dark and lime green veining naturally became a feature. Careful planning meant that no power-points pierced the slab.

These spaces are evolving and new furniture, rugs and personal touches are to be added in the next phase.
