The kitchen is the heart of the home and the simplest of changes have been made, to dramatic effect.

Everything was in good working order and it needed to be linked to the rest of the open plan space.

Removing the black 3D tile and replacing it with a ‘Japanese’ inspired mosaic offered subtle texture across this large area of wall space. The tiles were then grouted using an olive-green colour, that creates a very soft hue.

Existing wood shelving was sanded and re-stained in black. We added elegant bar stools, a breakfast table and rich yellow velvet seating.

Mid-century ‘space chairs’ are blended with organic tables and a natural fibre rug to encourage guests to relax in and around the kitchen area.

Whether it is for a cup of tea or a glass of wine, this kitchen now welcomes all.
